Anna Szöke is curator of the Tieranatomisches Theater (Veterinary Anatomy Theatre), temporarily replacing Felix Sattler at the Hermann von Helmholtz-Zentrum für Kulturtechnik, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.  She studied Art History and Spanish studies at the University of Vienna, and has worked as a curator in Vienna, Spain and Scotland since 2009. Between 2013 and 2019 she was a researcher at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna and the Centre for Anthropological Research on Museums and Heritage (CARMAH) at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, as part of the Horizon2020 project TRACES. Until September 2020 Anna was CARMAH’s research manger. She is interested in practices of artistic research and engagements with contentious collections and heritage.
